無袖對襟長衣，由兩塊方布接縫而成，正面以紅、白、黑色線夾織成縱向條紋，襟緣、兩側及下襬綴有大量貝珠串。正面襟口和袖口都縫綴縱向貝珠串；背面沿脊縫兩側及衣服兩側由肩到衣襬共縫有四道縱向貝珠串，腰部以下縫飾有九道橫向貝珠串。貝珠衣是泰雅族最貴重的禮服，唯有頭目或具有高超功績的勇士才偶爾在儀式時穿著。全件重量甚重，一般很少作為日常的服飾，反而逐漸轉變成具有貨幣的功能，作為換取物品或作為聘禮用。根據原始採集記錄，本件文物採自泰雅部落，原語名稱為「Luks Kaha」。
